Formula and method
Clicks = visitors × CTR ÷ 100. Sales = clicks × conversion rate ÷ 100. Visitor-to-sale rate = CTR × conversion rate ÷ 100. Optional revenue = sales × order value; optional earnings = sales × commission per sale.
Worked example
10,000 visitors with 5% CTR and 3% conversion gives 500 clicks, 15 expected sales and a 0.15% visitor-to-sale rate. Optional £100 order value and 10% commission add £1,500 merchant revenue and £150 earnings.
How to interpret your results
Start with sales volume. The visitor-to-sale rate combines both funnel steps and remains a modelled rate even when entered visitor volume is zero. Money outputs are supporting context and need their optional inputs.
Assumptions and edge cases
Visitor counts and rates cover one period. Fractional sales are expectations, not individual transactions. Leaving commission blank omits earnings; percentage commission needs order value if you choose to supply it.

Do I need commission details to estimate sales?
No. Visitors, CTR and conversion rate are sufficient. Add monetary assumptions only if you want the extra context.
