WAM editorial interpretation

Key differences

  • GetResponse’s recorded Bronze rate is 40% for 12 months; higher tiers require sales volume. MailerLite describes 30% while a referred customer stays active. The larger first-year percentage and longer potential duration answer different questions.
  • The recorded referral windows are 90 days for GetResponse and 45 days to signup for MailerLite. MailerLite’s FAQ says the paid upgrade may happen later. Preserve the distinction between a click-to-signup window and the duration of commission.
  • GetResponse applications go through PartnerStack. MailerLite identifies Trackdesk as its affiliate platform and Tipalti for payments. A platform label is not a promise that approval rules, deductions or reporting definitions are identical.
  • MailerLite publishes a 30-day refund hold, USD 100 minimum and two-referral condition before eligible Friday settlements. Comparable GetResponse payout fields were not established. A missing field is a question to ask, not a comparative disadvantage proven by evidence.

Important considerations

  • Start with the email workflow your audience needs. Programme terms cannot demonstrate deliverability, ease of use or whether a particular automation feature fits; no such testing is claimed here.
  • Compare first-year eligible customer revenue first, then show later years separately. A hypothetical retained customer is an assumption; repeating it over several years without churn produces a misleading sense of certainty.
  • Test a low-volume scenario as well as a growth scenario. Two referrals and a cash threshold can postpone receipts even when a commission balance exists.
  • Use the Decision Engine for a clearly labelled period-level approximation. It does not simulate recurring cohorts, tier progression or a merchant’s settlement ledger.

Model your assumptions

The calculators compare your inputs. They do not declare a programme winner or model retention and tier progression.
